The Story Behind the Logo

A Logo Worth a Double-Take

We didn’t want another generic hop cone or pint glass. The No Bucks Given logo had to say it all — bold, outdoorsy, and a little cheeky.

Our family name, Dear, became the spark. That, combined with a deep appreciation for the outdoors and using natural resources to provide for our family, and the core values wrote themselves.

We hunt, fish, raise chickens, mill our own lumber form trees harvested from our property. We go all-in on projects and aren't afraid to get our hands dirty. As hard as we work, we play even harder. Whether it's camping, riding UTV's and e-bikes, or cooking up a feast, there's always something going down. Brewing is more than just a hobby. It's a reason to bring people together, to be creative, to build on a craft, and to share something we love.

The Meaning Behind the Name

We don't give a...BUCK! Adapted from many a night solving the world's problems with friends, family, and a few brews, we knew immediately that this was the vibe. It’s the mark of a crew that works hard, plays harder, and lives free.  The name is a wink at our lifestyle--unapologetically self-sufficient, proudly local, and fueled by good beer and better company.

Crafting the Look

The logo had to be as bold as our vision, to capture the spirit of our brand. Everything from our badass main character, to the wild-eyed buck, to the splashing (but never spilled) beer mugs--intentional. The color palate inspired by classic buffalo plaid and deer pelt--seamless. The banner design--traditional and straight-forward.
We crafted a design that felt classic but daring--something that would look as good on a bottle cap as it does on a hoodie.

Our logo reminds us that what we build is ours. Every pint poured, every shirt printed, every laugh shared — all with NO BUCKS GIVEN.
